Ever have moments like this?
When you were at a place and there's a shortcut route, then out of a whim, you suddenly decided to walk that path?
Let me share what happened in this blog.
Supposedly, we're just going to have dinner at one of the McDonald's branches here at Megaworld, but since it was already late at night after I got off from work, we're hesitant if we would be dining in or take it home. Additionally, it has been raining nonstop since the afternoon. There wasn't much any ride if arrive at downtown at this hour but we could hail a tricycle, though. It's just that tricycles do ask for more expensive fares and we don't like that.
I'm the type who will try to save as much as I can on a fare but on a spree in spending on foods, 'cause why not?
This place is busy and crowded as usual, either day or night. Among all of the things here, my eyes were fixated instantly on this corner named "TOM AND JERRY". They're selling these toys as a part of their famous Happy Meals. Seeing that, we're like kids which were getting excited with the new toys. To cut the long story shorter, we bought that. We still bought coffee because it's so cold from the rain but enjoyed our Happy Meals.
Anyone who could see us that would think that we did bought that for our kid or for a younger sibling? They wouldn't have the slightest idea that it would be for us to satisfy our inner child. By the way, initially I wanted Jerry in Sports Car, but it was sold out. We did have Jerry in Spinning Tea Cup instead.

We ended up dining in because of the the rains poured down heavier. We stayed there for few minutes after eating just for it to slow down. Time passed and we didn't notice it, which means there's no jeepney going home already, if there is, it would be rare at this hour.
We still have other options actually. Yet, that, "Let's check the newest displays they have here," turned into, "Yeah, let's just walked straight home." So, we did.
Note, it's still raining at the time and the Patata forgot his umbrella. We're just sharing and we barely fit in it. In the end, if the rain didn't stop halfway, it would be useless having it because we still got wet while walking.
We got some discoveries while walking to the exit. First, the building that was under construction back then turns out to be an elite hotel now. Then, we also saw a branch of Pickup Coffee here. They're everywhere now. They got two outside and here, so three in just around one location. Near the exit, we also have seen the venue for the international circus show that Megaworld promoted few weeks ago. It said the tickets start at Php 400 as the cheapest seat. More likely, it will be pass for us no matter what kind of experience it will bring. We prioritize food now. 😄
