Coincidentally a few days holiday in the city of Yogyakarta. The city of Yogyakarta is know as a tourist city. In the morning I took a morning walk on Malioboro street while exercising.
Malioboro in the morning the atmosphere is not so crowded. After the morning walk and about to return to the hotel. At the intersection around Malioboro I Saw several food vendors, some carried by cart.
There were food vendors on motorbikes, food vendors are open 6 AM to around 10 AM. Because the road where the sales Will be used for parking visitors Cars from within the city and out of town.
I happened to arrived at the vendor with a cart was selling a typical Yogyakarta culinary dish, namely Gudeg rice. They sold several types of traditional floods such as rice pecel urab, on top of the rice is given several types of boiled vegetables and topped with peanut sauce.
There is Nasi uduk and Nasi kuning, this type of rice is has a savory taste, in addition there are variations of seasonings for mixed rice. I ordered Gudeg rice on top of the white rice is given jackfruit vegetables that have been given spices.
There are boiled eggs cooked with gudeg spices, there is Tempeh bacem. There is krecek vegetables Made from cow skin that has been processed for a long time. Food vendors provide seating on the sidewalk, quite a lot of visitors who have just arrived from out of town.
Besides the food vendors, there are other vendors but they specifically sell drinks, as hot or cold tea, orange juice, coffee and other. How much did I pay for one portion of food?.
It turned out to be very cheap, namely 15.000,- IDR or($0,89) and I drank hot tea with a little sugar for 5000,- IDR ($0,29). After I pay, I returned to the hotel.
