Greetings!
Today, I am excited to introduce to the community one of the first flowering plants that I planted months ago, my Zinnias. As far as I remember I planted my first Zinnias way before Christmas last year. I planted them outside our house just beside the concrete walls.
I actually did not plan to plant flowering plants because I already got my hands full on my vegetable garden but I do love flowers. And when I and one of my sisters visited one of our distant relatives I was amazed at his Zinnias which are currently flowering at the time, looking at the Zinnias with different colors of flowers is amazing.
And so, that distant relative of mine gave me some of his Zinnia seedlings and the rest is history.
After planting the Zinnia seedlings I was surprised because they are quite easy to grow. The soil where I planted my first Zinnias has lots of fine sand. After I planted my first Zinnia I actually did not expect much but then I was so happy when I saw them already bearing some flowers after they grew about five to six inches from the ground.
Here's a look at a section of my Zinnias. The side-by-side (before and after) photos below were taken 12 days apart. The photo at the right is the current (which I took yesterday).

And below is the full view of the latest photo. I also found out that it is very very easy to germinate Zinnias, you just take some of their dried flowers, crush them, and sprinkle them above the soil that you wish to plant, water them every day until they germinate, and when they germinate you just wait for them to grow. The photo of bushy Zinnias below is a result of me just sprinkling some dried Zinnia flowers from the first Zinnias that were planted (which are the ones that my distant relative gave to me).

And below are photos of the entire south section of my Zinnias. These photos are also taken 12 days apart, the right photo is the latest photo which is also taken yesterday.
By the way, if you can see those brown-colored things on the right side of the photos, those are woods for cooking that I split using an ax.

Below is the full view of the entire south side of my Zinnias. Zinnias are quite quick to flower. I noticed that if they are about 5 to 6 inches in height they already start flowering. But there also are just about 3 inches in height that are already flowering.
Zinnia flowers are so beautiful to stare at especially if they have different colors.

Here's another small section of my Zinnias, it is located just beside our small gate. There are only four of them. These Zinnias are also from the first Zinnias that I planted.
The photos below were also taken 12 days apart.

Of all my Zinnias, I don't know why this section is my favorite. Hmmm, maybe because they are the ones that I immediately see every day whenever I first get outside our house in the morning and they are the ones that I see last whenever I enter our house in the evening.

I also took some individual photographs of some of my Zinnias, my favorite is the one with a very bright red color. Aside from bright red, there is also purple, yellow-orange, pink, and yellow. I also noticed that when a flower of Zinnia is slowly drying up its color is also fading into a lighter/faded shade.
I just can't get enough of my Zinnias in the bush, so, I also took a photo of them from a different angle (this time I am facing south). Look how lovely they are (photo below). They are just so amazing to stare at because of their multiple colors.
And here's a snap on the center section of my Zinnias. This actually the center section of the south side of my Zinnias. All of them are under 12 inches in height and they are all bearing flowers.
Below is a photo of the north side of my Zinnias, this north side actually consists of only six Zinnias.
So, there you have it, those are my Zinnias, the first of the few flowering plants that I planted in our house.
