Greetings!
Two weeks ago I planted seeds of Red Lady Papaya which can be read on this Blog. Today, the seeds that I planted is already about three inches in height. Instead of repotting them right away in their permanent pots, I thought that what if I repot them on a seedling tray then let them grow a little bit then repot them again on a larger black bag next and let them grow again, and then finally plant them on their final location. If the seedlings grow I will be very happy.
Below are the papaya seedlings that I planted two weeks ago.
In repotting the papaya seedlings into a seedling tray I first removed them from the pot and I am also going to use the same medium in repotting.
Below are the papaya seedlings after I removed them from the pot.
Below is the seedling tray where I am going to repot the papaya seedlings. I originally bought this seedling tray for germinating the cacti seeds that I bought online (but not a single one germinated). This seedling tray has fifty holes. To avoid contamination I carefully washed it with soap and water.
Repotting the papaya seedlings
Repotting is fun and a little bit slow because you need to carefully separate all the seedlings individually without breaking the stem and the leaves.
Adding some soil-less medium into the repotted papaya seedlings
Repttoing took me about less than an hour including putting the soil-less medium in the seedling tray. I hope they all survive and grow because I love the Red Lady Papaya very much.
Watering the repotted papaya seedlings
After reporting I used a sprayer to water the seedlings so that the soil-less medium will not be eroded by the force/pressure of the water.
