Greetings friends who love gardening, in my country the high temperatures are notorious for this season, however my garden has withstood the onslaught of the sun in February and we start March with a lot to do to keep the plants radiant and full of vigor.
I have had to travel several times to my parents' house to accompany them for health reasons, and being away for several days is a burden for my plants. I have to figure out a way to hydrate so that my plants don't get so damaged. However, this year my garden is showing off and giving me flowers and fruits that are a blessing.
Last year I showed you a bunch of topocho that was peeking out of the plant, here it is, I am already harvesting it and to make the harvest last longer I am picking them one by one, in my country they are eaten green and fried but you can also wait for them to ripen. I prefer not to wait, I really love the fried slices of topocho. The topocho is a variety of the banana family. 😃
Another little gift has been the pineapples, you can already see two that are doing beautifully, these pineapples are delicious, sweet and with an extraordinary flavor. I am also seeing the fruits of the papaya plant, although they have been small, I have already harvested several green ones to make desserts and a small but very tasty one has also matured.
There is something that makes me very happy, is that my adenium plant could be saved, last year I did some layering to reproduce it and it was a fatal experience, I almost lost my first plant, the oldest and the most beautiful. Fortunately, it sprouted two buds from the root and today it gives me beautiful flowers.
Someone told me in this community that layering is for woody species, it was something I didn't know and well I let myself go by some videos I saw on the networks, for my lack of experience it was a hard lesson. 🙈
For now I have removed the weeds from the garden and applied some cow manure compost, plus the coffee wells and another special nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer that I got as a gift. My plants are recovering quite well and are starting to bloom. I love this because they attract hummingbirds and beautiful butterflies.
I hope you continue to enjoy the wonderful experiences that nature gives us in the garden. 🤗
