I am once again with you in HiveGarden Community. Now, the blog I am going to write here is about a crop that has not been cultivated in our area for 10 to 15 years. The reason is that a lot of diseases prevent it from being cultivated in this area. One reason could also be the lack of good seeds because the seeds have less or no immunity to fight diseases, due to which many diseases can attack the crops.
A new variety, Noble1, has just come out, which has immunity to stay safe from diseases, and it is sprayed in very small quantities. In fact, some people think that no need to spray it, and it can stay safe from diseases without spraying. This crop is cotton. One of my cousins cultivated it on one acre last week.
Now I think it is important to tell you about the preparation of the land here because if the land is made soft and well-drained, then the germination of this seed is good. The first step for this is that the land has to be watered so that the soil becomes soft beforehand. Then, when its surface starts to dry, a disk harrow is applied to it, which further softens the soil. After the disk harrow, a harrow and a traditional plow are applied to it.
After doing all this, furrows/beds are dug in the field. Water is applied to these furrows, and cotton seeds are planted wherever the moisture reaches. In about five to seven days after planting, the plant starts to emerge. When the plant starts to emerge, it is watered again so that it is easy for the plant to emerge from the ground. After this water is applied, the plant completely comes out of the ground and starts to form its leaves.
When cotton is planted in these fields, the distance between seed plants is between two and three feet because its plant spread is very large. Within 24 hours of planting, a weed killer is sprayed so that the weeds do not come out of the ground quickly and the nearby plant can grow. If the 24-hour spray is not available, then after the emergence of weeds, when the weeds grow completely, these weeds can be destroyed by using a weed killer. I have been monitoring this field from the beginning until now because next time I also have to grow cotton, so for this I have to gain experience and information so that I do not face any problems in growing and caring for this crop. I have been inspecting this field for two to three days in a row, and I think I will be able to collect information from cultivation to every waste.
After about 10 days, when I inspected the cotton field again, a cotton plant with two leaves emerged from the land, as can be seen in my photos. This plant is still healthy and has not been attacked by any disease. Now, when the special fertilizer is used in this field, I will definitely share that with you in my next blog, and I will review it once a week or month, and share it with you so that if you also want to grow this crop, you should have complete information about it.
