I think this is the right time to start gardening. Indeed, I must first slowly collect the gardening equipment needed. I also have to think about fertile soil because in a small space there is no suitable soil for planting.
I will utilize the little space available in front of my rented house to plant vegetables. Look at this little space. There is a small pine tree but it belongs to the owner of the house I rent. So I just leave the tree there. I think it adds to the beauty available and currently does not interfere with the process of sunlight illuminating the area of the ground below.
Later I will also use containers or polybags that I will arrange in the unused carport area, because my husband and I decided not to buy a private vehicle at this time (because we only use local online transportation).
Well, Due to limited land for planting media, I have to buy ready-to-use planting media to start with. I bought 5 sacks of ready-to-use planting media. Later, this planting media can of course be reused.
Ready-to-use planting media is mixed with fertile soil, goat manure, burnt rice husks, and raw rice husks.
I will pour the planting media into the available space. All spaces that will be used must be covered by fertile soil.
The previous space contained soil mixed with stones. So it must be covered again with loose soil. Of course, in the housing area where I currently live, I can't get free land. All areas have been covered with cement and stones to avoid flooding. So if I want to plant or garden, I have to buy land.
Yeah, it takes a little struggle before planting vegetables in limited spaces. But I enjoy doing this and it makes me learn to be patient. Organic plants are certainly expensive!
Then, the soil is ready to be used for sowing. This time I will start planting the easiest vegetables to grow in my area. This time I will plant water spinach.
I bought a small package of water spinach seeds at my favorite seed shop through online shopping. Well, this is how large water spinach seeds look compared to other vegetable seeds.
I made the holes with a straight line system. I made the distance of one of my feet per straight line. This method will make the seeds grow more neatly.
Sow seeds in the evening for good shoot growth. Spread the water spinach seeds evenly. Cover the hole with soil after filling it with seeds.
Don't forget to water with a fine spray of water. Water every day twice a day. 4 days later the water spinach seeds started to sprout.
A week later, the water spinach is growing nicely!
I hope you enjoy my gardening videos. Later I will update the progress of those water spinach vegetables. See you in my garden!
