Hello, good morning to all plant lovers. Yesterday I got up with the firm intention of giving my garden a little love, and it is not just a matter of passing and removing a dry leaf or cleaning the surroundings of the annoying weeds, but of transplanting those that are very crowded in a pot or those that need fertilizer for their roots, all that gardening work that I have been putting on hold because I had to pay more attention to my pets.
Dedicating full time to my garden is not an easy task, to keep my plants alive and happy it is necessary to work on them almost daily, because climatic changes affect them when they are severe, and we cannot totally depend on them. I must confess that this excessively rainy season has favored me above all because of ferns, which are plants that constantly require a lot of water, but there are others that have suffered the ravages of storms to the point of leaving their roots almost exposed and breaking their branches, such as the In the case of my chives and banana plants, we had to place a support rod on the trunk for the latter so that it would not fall since it has a beautiful bunch of bananas that are barely halfway through their development and if it had fallen, we would have lost it.
I managed to transplant the chives to a pot along with the plantain while I get more pots and buy compost because I had little left since the last time I bought. Luckily, I have a supplier that brings it to my house and that makes my work more comfortable. I want to hang all the metal baskets that I have saved, but I need a moriche base for each one and this past week I went to look for prices and each one is for $15, I almost had a heart attack with that amount, and I have about 20 baskets saved, so i have to implement another planting system.

A man who was on the site told me that I could use a moriche lining for three baskets, reinforcing it with coconut shells before putting the compost and the plant on it, so I went to a coconut-based candy sale that is in the city, and the owners told me to take all the coconut shells I wanted, hahaha, I almost brought a sack. I have them put in a bucket with water as the man from the nursery told me, so that they soften and I can undo them, while I buy the moriche bases one by one. I trust that at some point I will have them all ready, for now I am placing some hanging plants in plastic pots, and I put them inside the metal basket so that their twigs do not break due to having them on the floor.
In this way yesterday I began to organize my garden a bit, I have not finished yet. I hope for today to finish removing the dry leaves from some plants, take offspring from some and plant them in small pots, hang the baskets, and leave everything clean to receive the spirit of Christmas this week and later the arrival of Christmas. Thank God I have a boy who helps me with the gardening and every week he goes to remove all traces of weeds that appear, that way everything will be ready so that my house looks beautiful in these December holidays.
Thank you very much for visiting my blog, it will be until another opportunity that I share more activities in my garden. Happy day!!
