Greetings, friends.
In a week, the last spring month will end, which at the moment, due to the abnormal heat, looks more like the middle of summer. We have already been using products from our garden for almost the entire month of May. And what have we already grown? Of course, it's just fresh spinach, watercress, basil, lettuce, onion, and radish, and other herbs. But if we calculate the price of all this in the store in winter and even at the moment, then we have significantly saved our family budget.
The first week I visited my daughter, a hurricane was in our village at that time. My wife called me and said that a cubic container had fallen, into which water was collected through the drain from the roof of the house. Why did this happen? She stood in this place for 6 years. Of course, I wanted to fix it to the concrete base, but the structure seemed quite heavy and stable. The plastic container was damaged, but it is quite usable.
Spinach. For some reason, we couldn't grow it. The soil structure in our garden may be to blame. I don't know what happened, but for the third year in spring we have had a wonderful harvest of this juicy, healthy herb. In the middle of April, we start growing early grass in the greenhouse. By the time the tomatoes are planted, all the delicious grass grows and is eaten, or we put it in containers in the refrigerator.
This is the second spinach harvest. It has already grown to the size of my palm, it was assembled yesterday and put in the refrigerator.
We harvest the first radish harvest in the first half of May. During the summer, we constantly plant radishes. We get the last radish harvest at the end of September. Radishes are called long night vegetables because they love moisture, like all similar root vegetables.
And what do I do with spinach? Often we just eat the leaves as an addition to the dishes, and, of course, we make salads.
How to make a salad? Take all the delicious food from the garden, cut it up, put it in one plate, add salt. I usually make a salad with sour cream, my wife likes it with olive oil.
This cucumber is not from my garden yet, but from the store. I think that in 2 weeks we will have our first lettuce cucumbers.
An egg in this salad never hurts. And I'll add 3 eggs.
The salad is ready. I decided to add some more grainy mustard for piquancy. The main thing is that my wife gave my creation a positive assessment. Although, of course, she always likes to eat the food I cook.
The wind started blowing this morning, and clouds appeared in the sky. On Monday, we are expecting rain, which has not been seen for 3 weeks.
Yesterday, while walking with the dog, I fell unsuccessfully, or rather, the dog dropped me. I fell on my back and hit the back of my head on the ground. It hurt, but nothing bad happened. That's what I thought. But in the afternoon, when I bent down, I felt pain in my lower back. It will pass quickly - that was my thought, but yesterday I couldn't do anything in the garden. In the evening, I gave myself an injection of Diclofenac and a second injection an hour ago. Now I can walk normally, and now I'm going to the garden to mow the grass with my lawnmower.
