Hubby started to grow his pechay way back 4 months ago. He tried to grow for the first and second time but I guess the seeds have expired already that's why it didn't grow.
Since the first and second tries didn't work he asked for other seeds from their office. Finally, after being failed twice he successfully grew his pechay seeds. Since he thought it wouldn't grow again he sowed everything in a small space so we had a lot of pechay seedlings we didn't have any pots to transfer so most of the seedlings were given to our neighbors.
Anyway, after growing-harvesting and replanting pechay over and over again, it leaves a lot of roots in the soil so hubby needed to remove all the soil from the pot so he could remove all the roots and he can use the soil again.
Since hubby is working daily he doesn't have much time in the morning to do it that's why he had to do it at night time after our dinner.
The first thing he did was to prepare an old tarpaulin and place it on the ground then he gathered all the pots that he had from his pechay plants.
One by one he removed all the soil from the pots then he started segregating the soil from all the roots. After everything was done he had to put all the soil back into the pots.
Since he already had pechay seedlings he planted them immediately after putting all the soil in the pots. He still has some remaining pechay seedlings intended for replacement in case some of the pechay plants won't grow healthier or might the pests like snails and worms will attack them soon.
I am so proud of my very hard-working husband who works so hard for his mini garden at home. He sometimes asks me for some ideas sometimes what to plant or what kind of vegetables I want so he can ask for seeds from their office.
That's all for today's garden blog. Hopefully the next day I can more of my husband's other plants in his garden.
