I have been a bit quite here on Hive during my summer vacation. It wasn't a conscious decision to stop posting, more like a decision to be fully in the present, to enjoy the company & landscape of the place where I have been visiting. But, there is one aspect I really wanted to share about my last week: this beautiful garden!
To make a long story: I was invited to spend a few days on a property in the foothills of Northern California. This is the land of my friend's Dad + husbamd and has always held a special place in my heart. These two guys spend hours each day on their garden and it really shows.
Dahlias, cosmos, and sunflowers decorate the landscspe. There are bees buzzing everywhere and more than enough to make a few bouquets too.
Here is one such bouquet, to be given to my mom later today. It is amazing to see how much diversity can fit under a single species. When I have a chance I want to research a bit about the spiritual meaning behind dahlias so, stay tuned for that tomorrow!
