Hello to all hive gardeners! Today I come to share the potting of 2 small plants that I use in the kitchen.
For a few weeks now I have been thinking of planting cilantro cimarron in pots, because I love to use it in the kitchen to flavor my sautéed vegetables and beans. Then at my mother-in-law's house I found this plant that has a few seeds.
I was very careful not to damage the roots and brought it back complete. I had some plastic pots in the garden that I made with bottles that I no longer used to help with recycling.
We can see how the land is gray and dry. It is because of the strong weather of this season in the island of Cuba where I live.
This is why I decided to put the seedlings in the kitchen. This way I shelter them from the cold and the sun that can burn them outside.
I also got a neighbor to give me a small linden tree as a gift. I love linden to make a nice tea to sleep relaxed and calm.
I put some stones at the bottom of the pot to help the plant to have a good drainage.
Then I put the soil in and moistened it to make it easier to handle. I opened a hole in the center of the soil taking care not to mistreat the roots of the plant at the time of planting.
I planted another smaller cilantro cimarron plant. I hope all these seedlings will adapt to their new home.
There is nothing more satisfying than growing your own food. I am very happy and look forward to your comments. See you next time.
