Hello to all gardeners. I hope your crops are in good health. I haven't been able to post about my crop for a few months because I've been quite busy as a mother and wife. And yesterday just at home and walked in the banana farmsteads. I was happy with what I saw. If you remember my previous post about my banana plants. Before, I was afraid that it would not survive but now I am happy to share with you that the bananas are alive and well. For many months there is intense care and examination every day if there is a dead banana so that it can be replaced immediately. And fortunately no one dead.
Sometimes I got stress because the leaf turns yellow and I'm afraid it will die. And we make sure that no cows, carabaos and goats can enter so that they don't eat the newly planted bananas. And sometimes the weather was too hot and we were also worried because the body of the banana might run out of water and it will cause it to sever.
And when the rainy season arrived we were happy because its leaves gradually prospered and it becomes more green.
And for over a year there is a banana bear a flower or banana heart. And hopefully we will reap it soon. How exciting.😁
This is what the bananas look right now.
And while we waited the bananas completely alive and flourished , we also planted sweet potatoes on each side of the bananas. And earlier I saw a sweet potato flower.
My grandmother said that when it blooms, it can be tested to dig if there is anything to harvest. And we are united here that we try to dig.
Started digging and we got red and big.
And the following we got white color and medium size and also small.
And this is my nephew who also enjoy carrying the bag where we put the sweet potatoes. And since it was 5 o'clock in the afternoon and there was a rain shower, we decided to continue harvesting sweet potatoes on another day. The only important thing is that we knew that there is a sweet potatoes anytime to harvest.
And aside from sweet potato I also have another root crop and it's purple ube. It is different from the usual because it bears fruits.
I picked one and sliced . This is perfect for halaya ube.
It feels good to see all crops very alive. You can't feel or think the effort, how long the time you wait and sweat you spent because it has been replaced by joy, thrill and excitement of waiting to reap the rewards.
That's all about my crops today.
And I hope you like and enjoy my post today. And thanks for your time.
TAKE CARE AND SEE YOU AGAIN.
