Today I want to show you my shallots crop that I planten this season. I could not plant them all at once, but rather gradually from the 3rd of March, up until the 7th of March. It was because the land was cultivated manually, and also I have two kinds of shallot that were planted.
Here is the photo of the whole lot of the shallots, the land is around 700 square meter, maybe for some of you it is not a big plot, but for me it is a step up, as previously I only planted for around 300 square meter.
And here are the different shallot type that I am planting. The first one is with the True Shallot Seed method. In which I need to keep the seedling in the nursery for about 60 days before I can transplant them. you can see in the photo below, the seedling are still small, and seems to be in a very bad condition. Mostly because fof the problem that I had during the nurser which make the seedling no in a very good condition. But lets see if they can grow, and start producing bulb.
And the other type are the shallots that I planted from the bulbs. It grow quite well. And I really like its development. And also it is still early in the season, they are about 9 days after planting, so there are still around 51 more days before my tergeted harvest. So the journey is still pretty long, and the works are still alot in the future.
I also want to see the difference that I will face and get between those from the seed, and also from th bulb. But one thing for sure, the one with the bulb is a lot expensive than the one from the seed.
