In this first picture I show you La Mexicana; she is an Ajoporro, others say Celery Spain, and since they don't agree, for me she is a Mexican. I sing Love to Thalia's La Mexicana and I feel that every time I do it, she grows a little more (seriously, it's not just me).
En esta primera foto les muestro a La Mexicana; ella es un ajoporro, otros dicen apio España, recientemente me dijeron que perejil y como no se ponen de acuerdo, para mí es una *mexicana*. Yo le canto amor a la mexicana de Thalía y siento que cada vez que lo hago, ella crece un poco más (en serio, no son cosas mías).
The second one I have in the pictures are the Amazons; they are a bunch of chives that remind me a lot of the jungle of our country Venezuela. At first, my idea was to have many plants to name them after each of the states, so since they were the first to arrive, I started in alphabetical order; their name was very good and accurate.
La segunda que tengo en las fotografías son Las Amazonas; ellas son un manojo de cebollines que me recuerdan mucho la selva de nuestro país Venezuela. En principio, mi idea era tener muchas plantas para colocarle el nombre de cada uno de los estados, así que al ser ellas las primeras en llegar, comencé en orden alfabético; su nombre les quedo muy bien y acertado.
Then, my neighbor, who knows about plants, sent me a video of how garlic was grown; that's how Las Macarenas arrived to my garden. Two beauties that have already started their process and emanate the characteristic smell of garlic every time the wind blows them or I rub them in my hands. To them I also sing their song give your body joy macarena ... If they laugh with me ha, ha, ha, ha.
Luego, mi vecino que si sabe de plantas, me envió un video de cómo se cultivaban ajos; así llegaron Las Macarenas a mi huerto. Dos bellezas que ya empezaron su proceso y emanan el olor característico del ajo cada vez que les da el viento o las froto en mis manos. A ellas también les canto su canción dale a tu cuerpo alegría macarena… Si rían conmigo ja, ja, ja.
Finally, Lara arrived, she is an oregano orejon plant, medicinal plant par excellence in this time of quarantine since many teas are made for the flu, to help sleep, stomach ailments, and any evil that is entrusted with faith (according to my perception).
Por último, llegó Lara, ella es una planta de oregano orejon, planta medicinal por excelencia en este tiempo de cuarentena ya que se realizan muchos te para la gripe, ayudar a conciliar el sueño, los males estomacales, y cualquier mal que se le encomiende con fe (según mi percepción).
Proceso
When the quarantine started, of course we were all caught by surprise, however, seeing all the approaches to get through this time, I noticed that around my house many neighbors had their own gardens. In addition, my neighbor told me that it was super easy to plant and take care of some types of plants. That's how this work began.
Cuando comenzó la cuarentena, por supuesto que a todos nos agarró por sorpresa, sin embargo, viendo todos los planteamientos que se hacía para pasar este tiempo, noté que por mi casa muchos vecinos tenían sus propios huertos. Además, mi vecino me dijo que era súper fácil sembrar y cuidar algunos tipos de plantas. Así inició esta labor.
I decided on plants that I went to the market and got easily, as well as questions to take into consideration:

When should I water them? It depends. Amazons and Macarenas are watered every two or three days; when the soil feels dry. If they are watered every day they can damage their stems and lose the crop. In the case of La Mexicana and Lara if they need water every day, keep their soil moist.
¿Cuándo debo regarlas? Va a depender. Las Amazonas y las Macarenas se riegan cada dos o tres días; cuando la tierra se note seca. Si se riega todos los días se pueden dañar su tallo y pierde la cosecha. En el caso de La Mexicana y Lara si necesitan agua todos los días, mantener su tierra húmeda.
- - The sun? All the plants need their sun; particularly I do not put them at 12 o'clock in the day when the sun is direct because I feel that they suffer; it is as if I stood under the sun for long hours. My method is that I take them out early in the morning and rotate them according to the sun, that is to say, I don't let the sun hit them directly, only its heat. Likewise, when it rains, I keep them so that they are not damaged by the drops since they are still young.
¿El sol? Todas las plantas necesitan su sol; particularmente yo no las pongo a las 12 del día cuando el sol está directo porque siento que sufren; es como que yo me parara debajo del sol por largas horas. Mi método es que las saco temprano y las voy rodando de acuerdo al sol, es decir, que no dejo que les pegue directamente, solo su calor. Igual, cuando llueve, las guardo para que no se maltraten por las gotas ya que todavía son jóvenes.
- - Their soil? Since I have time, I buy their compost every three months and change it. My neighbor has already taught me how to avoid damaging the roots; besides, I put peanut shells, egg shells, coffee residue and water from banana shells to nourish them.
¿Su tierra? Como tengo tiempo, les compro su abono cada tres meses y se los cambio. Mi vecino ya me enseño para no dañar las raíces; además, le coloco conchas de maní, de huevo, el residuo de café, agua de conchas de plátano para nutrirlas.
Talking to them, singing to them, and being aware of them helps me to spend time, to have a responsibility, they bring me benefits in food and my health and the most important thing is that it does not involve an economic expense that would leave me in ruin.
