On Monday I spent the day paying bills and doing the budget and doing laundry. A doctor’s visit confirmed long covid. He said it could be another year or longer before I might be back to normal. They just don’t know enough yet.
A walk around the yard to shut off sprinklers or move them netted these photos. The hibiscus is really starting to flower by the Small garden.
There are an awful lot of buds on it.
The Big rose is in full flower again. I’ve given up trying to get good photos of the flowers. They have some quality the camera picks up that I can’t see. To me, they are a nice red.
Most things are doing well in the Small garden. I had to pull the plants along the west side out of the mountain laurel, hibiscus, and rose. That’s why the end one is lying funny. Not sure why they are heading west this year.
The Sugar Baby watermelon has 2 fruit.
In the South garden the pink hollyhock grew very tall and now the flowers are all along the stalk.
Under the crabapple, the perennial sweet peas are a tangled mess.
The portualca, petunia, alyssum, and pansies make a nice spot in the end of the West of Steps garden.
On Tuesday I will be finishing my mom’s present as the rings finally came in. I also have to finish the bill paying and budget and laundry and get the kitchen cleaned up.
I should be outside, but the bills have to get done. And then it gets hot for the rest of the week, so it will be early mornings out there for me.
