Big geranium flowering yet again
On Monday morning I was up at 5:30AM and got my post up. I worked for a little while double checking the attic inventory. I found about a dozen items I didn’t know where they were. I managed to find 6 or so of them before I had to get ready to go to exercise class.

We have 2 teachers for our class and one of them used to have us do 12 reps per exercise while the other did 10 reps. But the 12 rep teacher hadn’t been doing 12, only 10, so I put my leg weights on and she decides to do 12 this time. Sigh…
This photo was taken because the class had grown to 38 people and we were mighty crowded.
Anyway, I made it through the class and rested for a couple hours. It was a beautiful day, in the 50’sF. I wanted to get some gardens cleaned out. So at 1PM I finally got out there.
I started with this tiny little garden to see how I would do. It was ok, so I moved onto the thyme along the walkway.
It was full of leaves and had grown over the walkway a lot. So I cleaned it out and cut it back to the bed. The South garden behind it was a mess too, as none of the flowerbeds had been cleaned out in the fall.
I worked my way around the garden to the steps by the office. There were a lot of daffodils coming up, but only the red sedum doing anything for the plants.
Once it was done, I spread BulbTone on the bulbs, but didn’t put any FlowerTone down as none of the plants had broken dormancy. I got my photos and made my notes. By then it was 3PM and I was exhausted.
The only flowers right now are these snowdrops in the alcove where it’s protected.
It’s supposed to be 40’s and cloudy on Tuesday and Wednesday so I’m planning to have one of my interns come and help me set up lights and get ready for seed starting on Saturday. My helper friend will be here at 9:30AM on Tuesday and I will send him on errands early.
I hope to finish with the lights by 11AM and then maybe inventory the cellar as it’s to be too cold to be outside.
