Sunrise on Sunday morning
Saturday was a crash day. I never got up until 8:15AM, only lasted until 11:00AM and was back in bed, dozing and reading. Finally up at 2:30PM but didn’t get anything done. Back in bed at 8PM.
Sunday I woke feeling much better and headed out at 6AM to get sugar pod peas picked. I wanted to get the peas picked because I had to mow and it was going to get hot early.
I sat for an hour until it was 8AM and went out and started mowing. We’ve not had any rain for 2 weeks and as a result the grass wasn’t as lush and wet. I finished the mowing in the yard and the barn by 10:45AM just as the heat really got started.
I got a shower and rested a while and around 12:30PM I got started processing the peas while I watched a movie. I finished the peas around 3:30PM.
I checked on the Little Trees II and they are all doing well.
The Reliance peach seems to have overcome the curly leaf disease. I took off one branch with some but the rest of the tree looked very good. It had a lot more peaches than the Contender peach in the Little Trees area.
The Big rose had a rough winter and I was glad to see new growth at the base. It has made buds and is now full of flowers.
Hot day!
The first load for the wood stove shed arrived at noon.
Once the peas were done, I just rested and watched videos until bedtime. It was too hot to do much else.
On Monday I hope to get into the Big garden to start the weeding and the wood for the masonry heater is coming.
