On Saturday morning I was up at 4:45AM and started editing the 50 photos I’d taken on Friday. I got halfway done when I had to stop to do seedlings at 7AM. Lots more were up and then I watered them all. Next I got ready to go to the tag sales for 8:45AM with my #1 intern.
Attar of Roses geranium and tag sale rope
They were a washout, either not much or too expensive. I got this rope which I needed as I had broken the one on the cold frame the day before. And a box of office staples. That’s it. The rope was free.
We stopped at the co-op on the way home for food as I had to mow and she was going for a run and neither of us was full of energy. They had flats of pansies there and I found 2 that had faces, so I got them.
But that meant I had to plant them when I got home. I also needed to pot up the geranium and I’d be using the same soil for the geranium and for the box up at the sign. So I also collected all the stuff I needed to pot up the geranium, and set aside some of the soil, for when I found time and energy.
I got the pansies all planted and then went in for some lunch. I rested until 12:30PM and then went up and got the mowers.
I’d found 2 piles my #3 helper had missed on Friday and a side of the Small garden I hadn’t raked. So I had to get that done before I could start. I finished right before 3PM.
I sat down to rest until the couple who were looking at the farm arrived at 4PM. But they never showed up or called or e-mailed. So write them off. So I went to work on my post for a while then got into my pjs and went in to watch ‘Leave it to Beaver’ until bedtime. At 7:30PM I got the stoves going and pulled the shades and was in bed by 8:30PM
Not much seed left in the feeder so it will come down on Tuesday.
On Sunday I have a flea market my #2 intern is taking me too. Then I come home, decorate a “festive hat” with my #1 intern and we head off to my friend’s 80th “Par-Tea” for the afternoon.
So another busy day. If I have any energy, I might start prepping for the window washing starting on Monday at 9AM.
