Today I spent some quiet time in my garden observing how the crops are progressing, and I must say, the improvement over the past few days is very encouraging.
The leafy vegetables are now fuller and more vibrant compared to my last check. The leaves have developed a rich green color, which tells me that the soil is still providing enough nutrients and that the watering routine is working well. Seeing this kind of response from the plants always gives me confidence that the effort I’m putting in is paying off.
As I moved between the rows, I decided to harvest some of the mature leaves. I carefully selected the bigger ones, leaving the younger shoots to continue growing. This way, the plants can keep producing over time instead of being exhausted too quickly.
While harvesting, I paid close attention to the condition of the leaves. I noticed a few minor signs of insect activity on some plants, but it’s still under control. For now, I’ll keep monitoring the situation closely and take action if needed before it spreads further.
Another thing I observed is how dense the plants are becoming. This is a good sign of healthy growth, but it also reminds me that I may need to do some thinning soon to improve air circulation and reduce the risk of disease.
Moments like this — standing in the garden, harvesting fresh leaves, and observing each plant — remind me that farming is a continuous learning process. Every day brings something new to notice and improve.
I’m looking forward to seeing how these crops develop in the coming days, especially as I continue managing their growth and health step by step 🌱
