Today was a very long and tiring day in the field harvesting maize under the hot sun. Farming is not easy, especially during harvest time when the body becomes exhausted from carrying, picking, and sorting the corn for many hours. But despite the heat and hard work, I feel proud seeing the results of the season lying in front of me.
This maize represents months of preparation, planting, weeding, and patience. There were days of worrying about rainfall, pests, and crop growth, but today I am thankful to finally reach harvest time. Agriculture truly teaches endurance and commitment.
Some of the maize cobs are big and healthy, while others were affected by weather conditions, but that is part of farming. Every season comes with lessons and experience that help us improve for the future.
Working in the field today reminded me that farmers work very hard to produce food for families and communities. Many people only see the final product, but they do not always see the sweat behind every harvest. Spending hours under the strong sun is never easy, but the satisfaction of seeing harvested maize makes the struggle meaningful.
I am also grateful that the harvest is finally coming in before any major losses occur. Step by step, the work continues. After harvesting comes drying, storage, and preparing for the next farming season.
To all fellow farmers out there, may your hard work bring a good harvest and better opportunities for your families. Farming may be difficult, but consistency always produces results with time.
Thank you for stopping by and supporting my farming journey. π½π
