Tell us an inspiring story about your garden.
I also have some eggplant and sweet pepper plants at my grandmother's house, but the eggplants, in particular, have been the most trouble. To be honest, they haven't grown much at all, but I think it's because of the soil, which, as you can see, isn't the most suitable. But I keep at it because I'm sure that with perseverance I can eat some, whether roasted, fried, or sliced. Their versatility is what keeps me from giving up and allows me to have some available whenever I want to pick them.
I also have some bean plants nearby, which were growing beautifully. One morning, when I went to water them, I found a very unpleasant surprise: an animal, which I still don't know the species of, ate almost all of them. They only left a few, but you can see it better in the photos. Perhaps someone knowledgeable might have an idea of how to prevent them from appearing in my small garden, where I hope to grow good food for myself and my family.
This concludes my brief participation in Question #47 of the Hive Garden, sponsored by the curation account of the #hivegarden community. Without a doubt, sharing a part of my work in agriculture is incredible; it shows what we can achieve if we give our best effort, thanks to that perseverance that will surely push us towards the success we seek.
