To begin, I have to be honest: I've never planted them before. I haven't even seen how to do it, so I'll ask around and watch some videos that show me the easier way. I was taking some pictures when I accidentally found one of the main (older) roots. I thought about looking for some more sweet potato plants, but I decided to leave it as is and find out more information. Later, I hope to grow my own.
One of the things I like most about the plant is its ability to spread, as you can see on the fence that separates my grandmother's house from the neighbor's. However, the downside is that the fruit doesn't grow out that way; it only appears when the plants are underground.
There's an area with a trough they use for washing, and you can see a good number of vines growing there, ready to sprout new plants. I definitely need to find the best information to get a good harvest, especially with fresh food available at home, and try to avoid stomach ailments like the ones I've had lately.
It's a pleasure for me to share more posts here in the #hivegarden community, where I can show plants I've grown and some I haven't. The main idea is to innovate, try to improve my techniques, and grow new plants to increase my knowledge.
