Hola, lovely souls! How's everyone today?
This morning, the husband and I decided to come home to our other house, purposely to visit the parents (thankfully they are so well and kicking), and yes, to clean our longing yard too. It had been neglected for quite a while.
And when I said our longing yard, I meant these:
Weeds growing all over the place and my plants mostly dying. Although we have been coming home here twice to thrice a month previously, we didn't stay long, so today, actions are being taken outside, lol!
Before, we grew what we thought were bermuda grass and spread them across the yard, but after sometime, we noticed they were not so we took them out. Now, different kinds of weeds are trying to invade the graveled yard and it is high time to clean them away.
And pardon me please...
These aren't a pretty sight but I am on to it, lol! Passersby along the road might be thinking the house owners are lazy, haha!
Most of my common plants have to be removed and replaced, but for now, the work will just be to take them plus the weeds out and will see what to do afterwards.
These are my bonsai citrus. I planted them on recycled tires 4 years ago and glad they are still growing well without any extra care.
And while the husband was catching up with my brother, I had my gloves on and started the real work. And yay! Darn these nasty weeds are now down, lol!
And the strawberries are uhmmm... quite okay :)
And the "Aptenia Cordifolia" or Baby Sun Rose are crawling nicely too, covering a bit of the area so there were little weeds to clean, thankfully.
My grape vine is wilting yet again like it often does every summer. But hopefully it will grow green the next season.
The wild blackberries are doing so well, they are fruiting even. The fruits will probably turn black *(ripe) in a month or maybe more.
The day's tasks were just half-way done and the rain came pouring, a welcoming break giving me time to write this :) It feels great to be home here again and will be staying until the clearing work is done.
