"Is this yours?" Mr. KJ asked with a tone of sarcasm while perusing the paper she printed earlier containing the map of her lil place.
"Isn't it obvious?" she asked with a grin, trying to lighten up the atmosphere. She knew Mr. P all too well. He's that guy who will take every chance to humiliate you if you do not toughen up in his presence.
"What were you thinking when you planted rosemary with all those other things there?" He pointed at the mixed plants under (and between) the Tisa tree and the storage. "And oh look! And there are eggplants too! Geez!" he continued shaking his mighty head.
"Is it wrong to have them all together? They thrive along so well," she retorted. "I do want to rearrange them but they are mostly grown directly in the ground. Had they been in pots, I can just transfer them to any other areas at any time," she explained further.
She actually considered uprooting them before and starting all over again but thinking about the waiting time she had to go through, she dismissed the idea. She lacks the patience too for a gardener.
Some months ago, her husband also started adding some more stuff there - different types of hibiscus and other bushes. They are still small and she still cannot imagine how they are going to look like when everything else starts to grow taller.
But as far as she can tell, things are okay. The area opposite the second storage for instance is a mix of roses, golden bushes, and other stuff.
Mr. KJ would probably go crazy if she told him there were spider plants under the pomelo tree, euphorbia, snake plants, short roses, jade plants, periwinkles, succulents like Kalanchoe, and other things that are growing under the Dracaena Fragrans and Ti plants.
That there were chayote vines climbing in the untrimmed hibiscus hedge. She had them removed last summer but they grew back in. It's difficult to get rid of the vines.
She held herself back from telling Mr. KJ that she was growing tomatoes in one of the plant pots. They are pretty much ready to be transplanted and she will do that in the coming days.
She was just waiting for the zucchini seedlings to grow a little bigger so she could plant them in the backyard at the same time.
Amidst the disorder and chaos almost everywhere in their garden, there is still beauty there. She knew that one day, she would have to reorganize and cut things, remove some, and tidy up.
For now, she's okay with them all there.
"Okay, there isn't pretty much anything you can do with the placement of the trees. But what would you love to change or add to your mess of a place?" Mr. KJ broke the silence.
It seems the mean guy has read her thoughts for at that precise moment, she was wishing they had a small lawn.
"A place for my Anyeong to run around under the sun during the day," she replied.
"Then what are you waiting for? Do you want a recommendation?" he asked, sounding like someone who just found a good opportunity. She nodded and he immediately gave her a card with further instructions.
She was hoping to hear some more landscaping advice from the man, but she was disappointed. "Next time... next time..." she mumbled in her head and said goodbye to Mister Killjoy.
Hello, hello everyone! Pardon my ramblings, lol!
This was supposed to be shared some time ago for the Creative Challenge but for some reason, I allowed Mr. P (procrastination) to linger on. I'm not blaming it though. It's my own fault for letting it dictate what happens to my day, well not entirely. Some days I do fight and win (like today), on other times, I simply let the lazy bones kick in.
Anyhow, Happy Tuesday and let's follow our bliss today!
Thanks for reading me and I wish you a fantastic day (night) wherever you may be.
