Under normal circumstances, I don't work on weekends and need to rest, but things don't always go according to plan, do they? When I'm at my parents' house, there's always something to do. Although I occasionally do some gardening, I think this will be my first post shared on the Hive Garden community.
We have a small garden under our house, and planting season is approaching. We need to dig it up and create channels to make watering easier. We started the work together with my father. Working with him is much more enjoyable than working alone. We chat while digging the garden.
Unlike in games, gardening in real life is not easy at all. Moving the mouse doesn't automatically create channels. Digging a channel takes more than five minutes. After digging, we also add natural fertilizer to the channel so the plants grow faster.
Unfortunately, I couldn't take many photos during the process. If I had stopped to take photos while my dad was digging the garden, he might have gotten annoyed. I would have gotten annoyed if I were him, lol. After digging all the channels, I took a few photos. There were a lot of worms in the soil. Some were really big, and some were tiny.
Actually, I took a photo of one, but I think seeing it might disturb some people. Some people are afraid of worms. I can share this photo with you in the comments section if you'd like. After taking the photo, I put the little worm back into the soil.
Yes, gardening is really tiring, but once you finish, you feel a great sense of satisfaction. There's nothing like the pleasure of sitting back with a cold drink and enjoying the view after the work is done.
I was lucky that the weather wasn't too cold or too hot that day. Gardening on cold or hot days is very challenging. So you either have to get up very early to finish your work before the sun gets too intense, or you have to dress warmly, which will make you sweat and might even make you sick.
Before leaving the house, I watched the sparrows on one of the trees in the garden. I tried to take their photo. Actually, I saw many more, but only two are visible in the photos. I remember seeing three when I took the photo.
After the tiring garden work, we watered my mother's flowers. I don't know when she planted these colorful tulips, but it's wonderful that they're all in bloom.
There are pink, white, yellow, and red tulips. Which one is your favorite? Maybe some of them don't look as good in my photos, especially the yellow ones. But my favorite is definitely the red one. It looks very vibrant and healthy. The camera focus played a big role in that. Maybe in the next post, I can share the roses in the garden with you, but they haven't bloomed yet.
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed it. I don't know when I'll share my next garden post. It's a very tiring job, and I can't say I'm doing it voluntarily. However, I definitely enjoy consuming the natural vegetables we've planted in the garden. We ate lettuce and cucumbers just yesterday. By the way, I remember someone wanted to be tagged in my garden-related posts, but I don't remember who it wasโsorry about that :P Anyway, see you in the next post!
