I am not a pro gardener, nor I am an avid "plantita". I do not even know most of the plants' names, their kind, or their classifications!
But I love nature and I love my mom's garden. I prefer to just watch her do her thing - talk and water the plants - while I sip my coffee and also chitchat with her. However, since moving to our little beach house where she also decided to grow some plants too, I am left to tend to them since she rarely visits here nowadays.
I have been collecting some plants from my dear friend and she generously provides me with a lot to take care of. 😭 Some have grown, some stayed the same, or probably I am just way too clueless on what they prefer - more sunlight or less sunlight? More water or less water? Or how many times a week should I water them? These are my constant rants when I can't seem to make some of the plants multiply.
But this time around, I found myself so proud of being able to repot the overgrown hanging plants gave me a few months ago. Not sure what this is called but if you do, let me know in the comments below.
I also enlisted 's help for me to finish this long-overdue garden project. I asked for a sack of soil and she handed me one during our previous meetup here.
I also purchased small plastic pots for Php10 each and this net bag also Php10 each. Though I prefer white pots because they are aesthetically pleasing to my eyes, they're seldom found here at my place. I cut the net bag into little squares and placed them inside each pot to hold the soil in place. Then, I filled them with soil.
Then I carefully cut the "branching plants" from the mother plant and placed each in the new pot. They were simply too many. I have to get another sack of soil soon. I was only able to repot 10 plants but I was now so happy to see the results. I was thinking of hanging them somewhere but I haven't found a spot to do that.
Since I was already in the mood, I also decided to repot these two... My mom loves the one on the right.
I prepared bigger pots for this one. Then carefully removed them from the soil and separated their roots. Easy does it. 😁
Well, I would have to gather more soil and pots soon because I'm anticipating these babies to grow in no time! I'm also thinking of collecting and growing succulents next time. I am open to receiving though. 😁😍 Perhaps, I'll be a better plantita soon.
