As a gardener and small business owner striving to raise awareness of the importance of plants among city people, I'm actuallu aware that get people to plant in their small garden is a daunting task. One thing I've realize is that distribute urban farming products is a viable option.
Easily accessing the distribution of urban farming supplies, such as soil, rice husks, seeds, and other essentials, has been a key focus for me for the past six years. At least, apartment dwellers can still find growing media even in the city.
Therefore, single beneficial additions to my garden is.. One of them is a canopy, which I use to protect myself from the intense heat of the sun, as I live in a tropical city.
For example, as like the photo, a farmer delivere a tub of soil from his garden and which I use to put into recycled plastic bags for distribution in small quantities. This create a spacious work area. You can imagine how painful it will be if the sun was blaze hot and I was working under it.
Although the canopy seems to be take over my garden, it have not really affected the hydroponics. I've only move a few plants that can thrive without exposure to sunlight, but there's no hydroponic system underneath.
In fact, this has significant improved my hydroponic production over the past month. It seems like a few changes and additions are needed to be productive. Honestly, I was very skeptical, but with high hopes, it makes things easier.
Take, for example, my mom's plant rack, filled with her orchids hanging under our mango tree. It's become more beautiful, even like a garden, akin to a small forest in our yard.
This small addition has even made my mom diligently gardening on her simple orchid rack. It looks like she'll be doing a lot of things there, like adding new orchid varieties. I'll have to get ready for some new work with those orchids soon, LOL.
Call me Isdarmady, sometimes Mady, Putra or anything you want. I have a pretty long name but call me very nicely. There are many things I like, especially hydroponics and coffee, sometimes I also like traveling and eating whatever I want. Life should be like that, there must be many things you like so you can live well. Of course, what you want is a dream, so, when you have a dream then what you have to do is to achieve that dream, don't just let it be a dream.
