Hello hivegarden friends...
Last Saturday I visited my brother’s farm and I was happy to see his new plants growing. Every week he is able to harvest some chili and now another batch of seeds has already sprouted. His goal is to have another good harvest by December.
Seedlings of Chili labuyo.
These are the new seedlings that have already sprouted. They will grow quickly and become the next plants for his garden. He is hoping that by December the price of chili will be high, since he is preparing for that season. His target is Christmas, because during gatherings people really need chili.
Bell peppers at home.
This is the bell pepper at the back of the house. Some were destroyed by the chickens because there is no fence, but I’m glad these grew well. Even with the continuous rain, it has been a big help to the plants.
Keeping the plants safe by spraying against pests.
My cousin already sprayed the plants earlier, just in case the chickens come near. The spray is strong but luckily no chickens came close, maybe because they already smelled the odor. Regular spraying and adding fertilizer will help the plants produce good fruit.
Lovely flower that gives a nice fragrance.
This rose is very common, but I still take care of it even though I was busy the whole week. Thankfully it is growing well and the color is beautiful. I will continue to nurture it because I plan to plant it at the back of our church.
Crinum latifolium, a graceful lily with long green leaves.
It was Saturday when I finally had time to check on my flowers again, since I was busy the past few days and could not give attention to my plants. The white flower looks so cute and it has kept its leaves for a long time.
Do you also like white flowers?
They are not sensitive even in hot weather, and they can handle the heat well. What’s nice is that the flowers keep on blooming without stopping, just like santan that always has flowers.
This known as a lucky plant.
Many say it brings good luck and positive energy. It grows well indoors, with its green stalks and fresh leaves making the house look lively. I have one inside, and I tested it myself. Now the roots are increasing, and I can say this plant is truly beautiful.
After nonstop rains, some areas are flooded.
My cousin’s place is starting to flood, something that did not happen before. Maybe planting trees could make a difference. The water was only shallow and it went down fast because of the hot weather. He once planted a coconut tree there but it was damaged by a storm.
What do you think would be a good solution to protect the soil?
That’s all for my blog today. Thank you very much to everyone for your time and support.
