Hello friends! I’m back again to show you my blog today.
Corn update:The corn is getting close to harvest time.
Now, look at the corn its stalks are so strong and healthy. This is the result of carefully preparing and taking care of the soil before planting. Healthy soil helps the plants thrive and you can see how healthy looking the stalks are and how abundant the harvest is. Without fertile soil the plants wouldn’t grow this well and the fruits wouldn’t be as big. Proper fertilization also keeps the plants healthy and ensures a bountiful harvest. Taking care of the soil and giving the right nutrients truly pays off every plant grows strong.
In the past, the corn cobs couldn’t be sold, so we had to wait until the corn was fully harvested. After harvesting, the cobs were often just burned and only the kernels were used. A lot went to waste and it felt like so much of the plant’s value was lost. But now, things have changed for the better. The cobs can be sold for grinding and used as feed for cows, which is a big help for farmers. Nothing goes to waste anymore, unlike before when only the kernels were put to good use. This improvement not only helps the farm financially but also makes the entire planting process more sustainable.
Corn can already be harvested even when it is still young, and we call it anagon. Many people buy it at that stage, but we always check the price first. If the price of anagon is good, we sell it early. But if not, we let the corn mature before harvesting. That’s how it is with corn you need to study the costs carefully because fertilizer is not cheap. Every decision has to be well thought out so the farm can still earn and the expenses can be covered.
This is the banana tree just look at how long the bunch is! When bananas are given fertilizer, the fruits grow so well and become really beautiful. After that, my brother covers the bunch with a sack to keep it safe and protect it from damage.
This lakatan banana ripened right on the tree so sweet and smooth. Where else can you find something like this for free? If only you were near me, I would gladly share these bananas with you. They ripened so beautifully and I’m thankful the rats didn’t get to them first before harvest, hahaha.
On our land, pine trees are planted in rows. My mother planted them there so we would know the boundaries, since there are no fences. Fruits and coconuts are also planted along the sides and almost all of our neighbors do the same with their land.
Thanks for spending time with my post today. God bless us all.
