We all get tired at work and to be honest my kind of therapy or let's say pahinga(rest) would be gardening. It calms my mind everytime I do this that's why whenever I have the time, I do it no matter what.
So as I said this is my kind of rest and I just did it a while ago.
Checking some stuff in our open garden and found out that the native bitter gourd is already striving in it's finest. It needs something to climb on already and as a support also to its journey.
I searched near the river side for a bamboo that's been cut already that will serve as the pole and luckily I found one. It's not that big, just the exact size since the bitter gourd is a native one and it will not grow that much compared to the one that we see in markets.
You need to be careful when putting the pole beside it since it might damage the roots and that's what I did. I carefully place it, considered some distance from its stem and finally I succeeded.
Also carefully attached it's vines to the pole, for it to follow it later.
I hope that it will strive better since it has a supporter now.
While taking care of the bitter gourd, I noticed something that caught my attention and as a plant lover this one cannot be missed.
This cactus of my grandmother is also striving beautifully. Look at those crown. I thought of replanting it in bigger pot since that one is not enough for the two of them if their crowns will get bigger. Maybe next time I'll do it.
After that, while searching around the garden what will I do next I found this one, the seed of bitter gourd that I plant in a plastic cup.
It already grew and just look that, how it came out from the soil.
A new plant and life that will provide food for the family and it's something to be grateful for.
Seeing this one made my heart to beat fast, literally. I just can't hide my excitement that I shared the good news to my grandma and she's happy about it too.
Check this one...
This one reminds us that in life, we grow in the dark or in silence no matter how noisy our surrounding is.
I'll wait for it to mature enough for transplanting.
Another good news for today and that was my banana plant already bear fruit already. I don't have the time to check it since I'm busy at work, that's why this is one is really a blessing for the family.
Look how big it is. I stared at it for a while and realized something that hits hard. Here it is, you just plant what you can plant now and later for for sure you will reap it.
What an amazing day indeed.😊
And as for our lunch, we had some sweet potato tops, boiled, dip it in fish sauce with calamansi.
Day off satisfied.
