A great evening to all everyone. How's your day so far? My hands were tied for the past days wherein I was in the rice field uprooting some grasses that may hinder the growth of our rice. It's a laborious job but no choice, herbicides are a little bit expensive so a long patience is required.
With all of that hard work in the field, I still had the time to do some work in my garden. It's my tiredness reliever after all.
So here's what I did for the past days in my garden.
Bur before that I just want to correct the name of my planr in my past blog.
I've showed here the other day that I finally harvested my plant called pechay, that's what I thought but I search the other day what it's called and I found out that it's a mustasa or mustard. It's not that far from appearance but as I took a closer look in it, I noticed it's leaves and they're different.
Moving on, my chillies has grown well for the past months and I've been documenting it through my blogs here.
Finally the time has come for me to harvest them. I've been waiting for this moment and I'm really happy about it again. It's a long time of waiting but I can say that it's all worth it.
I harvested it in the morning and as I did to my string beans, I get a big container where I will put it. My first harvest with it was not that many but still I'm thankful that I harvested some of it already.
I know for sure that in my second harvest there will be more of it since there's a lot of baby chillies in them, starting to mature. It's expected also that they will not bear many because I didn't use any fertilizers to it, just the organic soil. Even if that's the case I'm still hoping that it will bear many.
Here's what I harvested from my chillies and as you can see they grew that big. No pesticides applied so it's pure and safe to consume.
Yesterday in the afternoon, I went to visit my string beans since my father told me that there's a lot of it again and good to harvest. I didn't believed him because I just did my second harvest last February 15.
I need to confirm it so together with my cousin we went there and I was really surprised that it's true. I've brought a pail where I'll put it just in case it's true and it really served it's purpose.
We don't have any viand for dinner so I harvested the strings beans that were okay to get.
In the end I got this many and I took photo with it as a remembrance hihi. I'm very grateful for all the blessings.
This morning, I woke up early and I found out that it's cloudy and the rain is just standing by to fall down. So ate my breakfast already because I will take the opportunity to plant the sugar cane that J asked from my uncle.
I really wanted to have a sugar cane in my garden since it can serve as a snack when there's nothing to eat hihi. Is there anyone here who tried it already?
Without wasting any more time I dug a hole and planted it. I'm hoping that it will grow well and will produce good sugar canes for me to consume.
And those are the happenings on my garden that really made me happy.
So once again, thank you for reading and don't forget to hit that upvote for more garden things. Arigatou.
-Plant, plant and you'll survive.
