When planting sweet potatoes, I often start like this. A long sweet potato is dipped in a water bottle until it takes root and sprouts around it. And when it has sprouted leaves around it, just wait for it to take root below the branch of the sprouted leaf.
If it has many roots, each branch that has roots can be cut and moved to the ground for planting. Make sure there are no small stones when planting the sweet potato so that when the sweet potato grows it will be in a good shape and easy to pull and dig.
In Asian countries the newly sprouted sweet potato leaves are eaten. Steam it for 2 to 3 minutes until it softens slightly. In other provinces of the Philippines, it is served with rice and the sauce is fish sauce with lime. It is often accompanied by tomatoes and chopped onions. But others they want with chili. (But not me!) LOL
Nowadays, especially in the provinces, they can do this method. In just one week, you can take the leaves or their branches.
"That is if you are not picky about food." LOL
But if you are not used to eating this kind of food, it is better to accompany it with fried fish! Also, accompany the tomato with soy sauce and lime.
"To those who don't know how to eat this kind of food, take care of your life!" LOL
But for poor people in other places, just having a grumbling stomach to eat, this is enough. They are happy with this grace of the lord. But if you try it, you might like it too.
To everyone's knowledge that sweet potato leaves are rich in vitamin B, ßcarotene, iron, calcium, zinc, and protein, and the crop is more tolerant of diseases, pests, and high moisture than many other leafy vegetables grown in the tropics. And of course, this root known as sweet potato is edible and also rich in vitamins!
If you don't have pets like goats and cows, it's good to multiply them and turn them into a business. If there is, try to keep it far away from them so that your crops are not damaged and depleted.
