It's been a week since the gate in our porch was installed, and it helped a lot.
Though it hasn't been painted yet, I'll wait for the husband to go home. It could be that I will be the one to re-paint the iron grills 😆. Paying someone to do it seemed impractical, as it's not much.
Aside from eating breakfast as my son was entertained in his walker, I finally cleaned our front yard.
It is not totally ours, as this lot belongs to my in-laws. Thus, my brother-in-law built a small hut since she hadn't built their house yet. This is where he cooked food and gas. Also, he planted a few vegetables.
However, the grasses have grown tall due to frequent rain, and my hands have been itching to pull them off.
It wasn't that spacious, but I couldn't spend much time cleaning. Days had passed, and only a small area was cleared,😂.
This was a great help as carabao grass was hard to pull. However, digging the roots impacts pressure on my tummy. It's been nine months since I underwent CS, but still, I avoid tremendous activities as much as possible.
Some grasses were soft to pull, so I took gloves—not the ones for gardening—but they helped. At least my hands won't be soiled.
I spent thirty minutes more or less cleaning up until my son cried. He was already hungry and tired from walking back to the fort. I had no choice but to stop for a while.
I was determined to finish the job so it wouldn't be messy in my eyes. Also, the veggies could grow healthy as there were no weeds.
Even that didn't stop the tomatoes from bearing fruit. There are several, and we are just waiting to harvest.
This one is almost ripe. Should I cook fish with soup tomorrow?
Salmon head with tomatoes, moringa and chili.
Moringa leaves are healthy, plus I did buy Salmon yesterday. What about chili?
We had, but this was too spicy.
It might be small but don't underestimate it. One piece could make your tears fall and your tongue out 😂.
It's too bad the eggplant was small and not edible yet.
And poor Philippine lemon! It needs to be taken care of. Looking at the whole area, I needed a week unless someone would help, which I doubt since they are busy. Though before, it was the cleaning, and I couldn't.
Gone are the days when everyone would say, "Buy vegetables for food as they are cheaper." Now, vegetables are almost the same price as meat. That made me think, why not revive or plant my own?
What if the sister-in-law starts building their home?
Ah, it's much better to buy huge pots. I watched videos, which were okay, especially with the limited space. Also, I want to ensure my efforts won't be wasted.
Summer is approaching. Well, not that I will be planting hectares, so it was still feasible.
I hope I can pursue the plan.
