A few weeks ago, my Dad and I went to the dentist to check on my tooth. And on our way back home, I noticed a merchant selling avocados, and because I absolutely love them, I asked dad to buy some. However, not many people sell avocados because they're not grown here and they're expensive. Anyway, Dad bought me three because I'm the only one who loves avocados, and I made the BEST avocado smoothie I've ever had. And I know that these avocados are expensive, so I decided to plant the pits instead of throwing them in the garbage. You guys know I love planting!! I watched many videos on how to plant them, and I learned two ways to make those pits germinate. The first method was by sticking its top with three toothpicks and hang it over a cup full of water and only let the bottom touch the water. The second method was to simply put it in a damp paper towels and place it in a warm place inside a zip-lock bag. But avocados take a looooooooot of time to germinate, grow and even produce other avocados, it takes about 3 months to germinate, and from 7 to 11 years for the plant to finally produce fruit. I knew this was going to take decades. But I also knew that if I keep saying that it'll take too long and I never actually plant it, I'll never have an avocado tree in my twenties. I planted the 3 pits in 2 different ways. I planted 1 pit by hanging it, but I didn't have toothpicks, so I had to be a little creative and use old broken pens. 😭😂: I planted the other 2 pits in damp paper towels inside a zip-lock bag:
However, this is going to take ages. But I definitely won't forget to update you guys. Stay tuned for part 2 and thank you for reading. Bye!! ❤️
