Hello fellow gardeners,
Another meaningful month to showcase our different gardens around the world. In my garden today, there is no big change because if you follow my other blogs, I spend more days in the city for work, so the only time I can only nourish and take care of them is only on my day offs from work.
Even though my time at home is always quick because I usually come home every other week, I make sure that I don't neglect planting, especially vegetables because it helps a lot. After all, vegetables are really expensive in the market now.
Because of my passion for planting, I would have tried to bring it to the city. Actually, there is no place to garden at the place I rent, but what I did was I asked for a plastic bottle container from a neighbor and I looked for soil to plant. So, from my yard, I brought one of my eggplant seedlings and some water spinach shoots to try. And before I planted them, I first prepared the soil and while doing that, I first rooted the water spinach in a container of water and you can see that they really rooted even after being soaked for a few days.
I wasn't able to capture the whole process of my test because I have been just disappointed with the outcome. Unfortunately, it was not a success. The eggplant died suddenly maybe because I watered it every day. The water spinach which is supposed to love water wilted the following day maybe because even though I water it, it doesn't get the right sunlight since I place the container under a roof.
MOVING FORWARD
If I attempt to garden in the city was not successful at this moment, back home in the province, as time goes on, the harvest had improved and I believe that there'll be more fruits will come from some started to produce lots of leaves and flowers already.
At home, just this morning I harvested some snow cabbage because I will use them in cooking and to replace them slowly because they are maturing. And while I was busy picking, I also noticed something resting on the leaf but I don't know its specific name and all I know is that it is a type of beetle. Can you name this insect for me?
In addition to those, in the upper left is a lemon basil flower with small seeds that I will plant to replace the old ones. On the right side at the top is the new passion fruits that have been transplanted, others are placed in some corners and that's where I thought because they can have something to glide in case it grows. On the bottom left is the eggplant that I mentioned in the previous blog that I didn't show, they are growing well and the skin of the banana body that I used to shield the heat have dried. And on the bottom right are the tomatoes that I put from my kitchen trash, they really should be moved because they're so big now and they almost cannot fit in.
Right now, before the day is over because tomorrow early I'm going back to the city to work again, I spent some time pulling weeds and mulching some areas and thankfully there were three days of consecutive rain which makes it easy for me to work on it. I also trim some of my lemongrasses because they are growing so much that they are overshadowing the others next to them.
On the other hand, even though it's been very hot lately, I'm really thankful to my hubby for taking care while I'm away because many of my ornamental plants have survived too.
That's all for now guys. May season's introduction is good because of a few days of rain. I'm happy for the crops I left behind. And if you've made it this far, thank you very much for taking the time to read this. I genuinely appropriate it. See you again soon and happy gardening.
