Hello, Hive Gardeners,
It's another season of garden updates and I'll be showing you some improvement of my garden.
It has been raining here a lot this past month and my plants are rejoicing it.
And here is how they doing.
Tomatoes
My tomatoes are quite doing well they're healthy and I can see fruits already and a lot more coming their way. Mulching it and putting those bamboo sticks helped me a lot, especially from those chickens that keep on destroying my plants.
sharing with you my tomatoes beautiful flowers
Spring onions
I keep picking those spring onions for my dishes and so they're decreasing but guess what they keep growing back. Good thing when I pick them up I only cut them. Can you spot new sprout leaves?
And because I like spring onions and how they thrive in my place I planted more of them on recycled pot.
Here's how I made it
From the empty water bottles which were donated after the typhoon. I cut them into halves and made some holes at the bottom and fill them with soil, sawdust and rice hulls and planted one stalk each. After 11 days here's the progress.
A lively green leaves came out
Eggplants
Those eggplants are attached by red ants again and most of the fruits are affected by it but still provide enough harvest for healthy soups.
eggplants flower
This is the new member of my garden I took this from the garbage. I transfer it before it is too late because whenever it bears it's a fruit I know everybody will claim it.
Lemon basil
Lemon basils flowers. I'll just need to wait for it to turn brown and they're ready for new seedlings.
String beans
I had planted many of them around my place and I already harvested its fruits many times so I shared it with my neighbours since it's producing many fruits and they easily get matured.
See its beautiful butterfly-like flower.
And also I spotted these heart-shaped leaves.
And of course, I wouldn't forget to have a selfie but excuse my face I just woke up and immediately went for a harvest for our breakfast.
The rest of the veggies are growing well thanks to the continuous rain that help them develop.
left: water spinach and sweet potato tops right: moringa, native chillies and bell pepper. I'm working on my spinach and okras for new seedings soon.
So that is my monthly garden update. Thank you for reading this I appreciate it so much and I hope you'll stay with me for my next garden improvements.
