Greetings Hive,
Finally, I was able to plough the land I want to use for the extension of my garden.
Way back a few years ago this space was supposed to be our rice field that help us a lot in our daily needs of rice but things change when some landowners change their minds, they don't want the water supply to be passed through their lands and so most of us in this area force to stop rice planting. Since this land was sleeping for a while and had been a cow pasture that make the soil worse I asked for permission from my father-in-law that I want to plough it for my gardening.
This is an accessory for ploughing. It's made from iron, a piece of wood carving for a carabaos necklace that connects them and a rope that serves as a control for the carabaos speed and some language that only the cow and the farmer know 😅.
Luckily for how many weeks I've been looking for someone to plough the land, I made a very good deal with my friend's dad and right away he started the work using primitive ploughing.
I then trade my tokens so I have money to pay it. Thanks, Hive for the backup 😍.
Using the tools and his carabao he ploughs the area early in the morning and stops when the sun is already hot and continues when it's almost sundown and repeats it the next day. He finished ploughing the space two days and give his carabao a mud bath after.(That's a traditional reward for carabao after work) Now, it looks like this
It still needs rain to soften the soil and the sun to kill the weeds and after that, it will be ploughed for the last time, clean and made into rows for easy planting. And because the preparation for the land is in progress I'll be busy sowing my remaining seeds for it and it'll be ready for replanting when it's all done.
Luckily it was raining today so I guess it only needs a few days to finish the process.
Thank you for reading this far. I appreciate it so much. I hope you stay with me as I share its progress in the next blog 😘😘😘.
