Hi my fellow Garden lovers,
How are you guys? I hope you are doing well right now. I haven't been able to update my garden's cultivation for about two weeks. On Tuesday, when I had a break, I checked on the cultivation in the garden and also planted some plants that were nearby in other places. We feel great joy when the seeds that are planted on the surface of the ground come out as small plants and give us a harvest in a short time. So, it goes without saying that I felt the same joy. Unfortunately, some plants were being destroyed due to insect attacks. So let's go ahead and see how our garden is currently doing.
The cucumber plants that were planted about a month ago are growing well in our garden and are spreading upwards like vines. Fortunately, there are no obstacles for the cucumber vines at the moment. Initially, there was a fungal infection on the leaves, which was controlled by using soap suds. Now the cucumber plants are flowering and small fruits are emerging. One of the fruits is now getting bigger and is covered with a black polythene cover. Although cucumber is a winter vegetable, it is a delicious food that can be prepared in a variety of ways.
Several gourd vines are growing well in our garden. It should be noted that the best yield in my garden is the gourd. I get enough gourd for consumption about three days a week. Although it has a bitter taste, my child also eats this gourd fruit growing in the garden because it is not so bitter. The damage caused to the crop by a few small insects is not good. Also, fungal infections have been observed to hinder the growth of the leaves and reduce the yield, so constant attention has to be paid. Although the gourd fruits are light green, the dark green ones are more valuable. The dark green ones are also produced in our garden.
Even though the tomato plants were planted at the same time, only one plant was flowering to produce a harvest. The reason I saw was that the other tomato plants were not getting enough sunlight. Since the other vines and trees were shading the plants, I made room for the other tomato plants to get the sunlight they needed. Now their growth is better than before, and a good harvest can be expected in the future. Growing tomatoes in a garden, which are high in vitamin C and are needed to prepare other foods, is advantageous because they form fruits in clusters.
Like the tomato plants, the eggplant plants are also starting to flower as the sun begins to shine on them. Eggplants are a very tasty vegetable, and they produce more fruit as the harvest begins. It should be noted that I only used compost fertilizer for these plants.
Many people do not like to eat spinach, which is rich in iron. Many people only like to eat it as a curry with lentils. But spinach can be made into several more delicious recipes. The spinach vine, which grew very slowly in a very slow manner, grew well with the addition of compost fertilizer, so I planted a few spinach plants to show an example of a fertile garden.
The old okra plants were now wilting and falling victim to the pests, so I dug up new okra seeds and sowed them in the ground. Now they have quickly emerged from the ground as small plants. Since they were not doing well at one time, I took steps to plant them in another place, leaving some space.
The other day, I took a few kankun vines that were growing in a rice field for home consumption and planted the rest in the ground without proper care. Because kankun grows very well and quickly. This leafy species called kankun is important for preparing food in the Chinese style.
We have three normal turkey berry trees in our garden and they are yielding normally. However, they are being destroyed due to the spread of a white and yellow fungus on their leaves and flowers. Since the use of pesticides adds poison to the vegetables, other natural measures must be taken. Because turkey berries are sold at a high price in the market.
