Hello everyone! Just dropping by after my morning coffee and a little language lesson – my usual morning routine. After coffee, I had an idea to start planting vegetables.
Actually, I've been preparing for this for a while, but I haven't had the time – either I've been lazy or the weather hasn't been cooperative. Today the sun is out after yesterday's strong winds, so I wanted to prepare the area for planting.
I got a lot of Thai vegetables. Some I want to grow because they're not available here. I think vegetables are cheaper in Italy than in Thailand, and I also think some things I could just buy. But, as I said, I have a lot of free time, and this year I want to do a challenge: plant some vegetables because I didn't last year. So this year I want to try again.
After exploring the storage room, I found a hoe. I was hesitant, wondering if I should do it because the planting area is overgrown with pesticides, and I thought the soil would be hard. But if I don't start, I'll never do it. So today I'm going to get to work.
After finishing my work, I went to check out the area and decided to start digging little by little. I started at 11 am and kept digging. The soil wasn't too hard. I tried to dig as if I were exercising, but I forgot I wasn't wearing gloves, so my hands got blisters. It's rare that I handle things like this so directly; if I'm exercising, I always wear gloves to protect myself.
Today I aimed to dig one plot, and tomorrow I'll start with one plot a day. I tried to dig and let the soil get some sun because the grass in the area is still beautiful and lush.
After preparing the soil, I sat down to rest. That's all I could do today; my hands are blisters. But I'm not discouraged. After that, I put away my tools and rested again for a while. Then I went to exercise before making lunch. This is my daily routine, the beginning of my vegetable planting journey. Please give me your encouragement. Thank you for following along. Have a good day!
