The bountiful harvest
The day was so bright and fine, perfect to bond with the family. We went to my sister's house to have a chit-chat and the same satisfied our hunger since we have nothing to eat at our house. This is one of the advantages of having a family living nearby, we can easily go to them in times of need.
....and we decided to prepare "lamaw" coconut juice mixed with its tender flesh ( lamaw in our dialect) for this sunny afternoon.
We have spotted in their backyard that the "bilaka" dwarf coconut trees have plenty of tender fruits and are ideal for lamaw. We harvested these bare hands as they can be reached easily.
Together with my child, niece, nephew, and my sister, we prepared our stomach’s desire to quench our thirst with coconut juice.
After 30 minutes, it is ready to serve as it is best when it is cold, and here it is, it is so yummy.
We were all refreshed and full.... and off we went to our daily mode, the afternoon walk. In this walk of ours, I wanna share in this blog too about my quick discovery and the beautiful flowers that we have seen in the gardens of our neighbors in the village.
The photograph of the beauties

Look at this minion flower, it is super-duper pretty to look at. What amazed me about this flower is the transformation of color from blue to pale pink. The flowers will last longer before they wither.
My mother’s plant is placed behind the national road. The flower is so cute and captivating that caught my attention. According to her, this is a variety of ground orchids that is famous here in our place.
The continuous hard rains that happened almost a month in our place gradually brought massive devastation. The soil was softened and the ground gave way and as it was seen, this comfort room fell finally to the ground.
We continued our healthy walk and were star-struck with these another pretty flower along our way. They look so beautiful and their colors are cool to my eyes.
I was captivated and took a shot at these alluring flowers that brought warmth to my heart. The colors add vibrancy and will lead us to be amazed by their beauty.
The fragrance of this tiny white flower is tempting, the Philippines National flower - Sampaguita. I couldn't imagine how pure this mini flower is that will lure one's attention and be mesmerized by its indescribable smell. They looked perfect with this yellow-petalled flower that is pretty too.
Seeing this yellow gumamela reminded me of my childhood days. I used to play with this by removing the petals and afterward, I located the ovary of this flower. I was motivated to do it as it was taught to me by my Science teacher that it has an ovary hidden at the bottom of its flower. This white flower is also pretty cool and perfect to look at.
Purple flowers helped me to relax and the enticing smell and prettiness of Roses are giving me true refreshment of mind. The richness of the colors gives luxurious beauty to our environment.
Another appealing color that is invigorating my mind and to take a closer look at them. These light green and light pink petalled flowers are attractive. They keep blooming and don't need too much care and attention.
The joy of having flowers along our way is worth sharing. They symbolize pleasure and love. White flowers are my best as these are pure and truly adorable.
These colorful flowers help lower boredom and stress especially when they bloom together. They enlighten one's mind on how beautiful life is.
A tropical flowering plant that is famous in the village, the Bougainvillea. We used to plant this because it can survive even in the summer season. The yellow bell used to be given to our teachers before during special occasions.
I can still remember those childhood times when I used to pick the fruit of this flowering plant. I broke it softly with my hands and used to place it on my ears as earrings. Those were the days that I wasn't able to experience having true earrings because my parents cannot afford to buy them. This plant temporarily granted an innocent child's desire of having them. Although it is not true, the joy I felt is beyond happiness 😍. And until now, I don't know the name of this plant and I used to call it "arios-arios (an earring that is not true) plant",
This variety of flowering plants is not costly however when they bloom surely gives a delightful impact that is priceless. Their simplicity is truly amazing although some of them have just grown from the corner of the ground. They are so adorable and incredible that even children are tempted to stare at and touch their delicate petals.
The splendid beauty of this well-trimmed plant was greatly done by my neighbor. It was diligently cut to have a good-looking shape and surely catches the attention of the passersby. It is manifesting!
It was such an incredible day, full of fun and excitement. There were mixed emotions felt and in the end I realized how beautiful life would be if we enjoy it by not competing with others same as the flowers do just merely blooming in the garden without negativities. Then, everything will be at peace.
Thank you so much for reading my blog and God bless us all.
