Hoy decidí compartir con ustedes un importante tema como lo es la elaboración de un sustrato mediante el proceso de compostaje.

Composting is a process where some materials of organic origin such as vegetable remains, dry leaves of trees, fruit peels, are subjected to a biological process where bacteria and worms intervene, which cause the decomposition of the material by fermentation, giving as a result a compost, or compost for plants.	El compostaje es un proceso donde se algunos materiales de origen orgánico como restos de verduras, hojas secas de arboles, cáscaras de frutos, los cuales se someten a un proceso biológico donde intervienen bacterias y lombrices, que causan la descomposición del material por fermentación, dando como resultado un compost, o abono para las plantas.

En este caso, voy a realizar un compostaje sometiendo el material a una fermentación aeróbica y anaeróbica, comenzando con el proceso anaeróbico, el cual lo haré en un ambiente cerrado para acelerar la degradación del material a compostar. Este compostaje lo haré usando una botella plástica de 5 litros cerrada, en donde las emisiones de los gases, producto de la descomposición, serán recogidas a través de una manguera que se unirá a un envase con agua, el cual llamaré biofiltro.

Bueno amigos, ya hemos colocado dentro del envase todo el material, en ese envase se llevará a cabo el proceso de compostaje, comenzando con un ambiente anaeróbico, es decir, sin oxigeno, este envase permanecerá cerrado durante 12 a 15 días, en este tiempo, el material sufrirá una descomposición por la acción de las bacterias, lo cual emitirá ciertos gases acompañado de malos olores, pero con esto no habrá problemas, porque le voy a colocar una manguera que servirá de respiradero conectada aun segundo envase con agua, que le llamaré biofiltro:
