I have been away from home for 18 days. No matter how much my husband cares for the plants, I knew I will find some dead plants. It's not his fault because a gardener knows their plants more than anyone, no?
I was not mad but a little sad. It's okay, I can start again. Fortunately, it was only two plants that died. Although most of the plants were affected by overwatering but hopefully I can manage them to be healthy again. I brought some cutting from my home. So hopefully it will work.
Let's start with some good news.
My white Ruellia is thriving. Every day the tiny plants are blooming around ten to twelve flowers. It looks so fresh. Ruellia
usually dies at the end of the day and doesn't have any fragrance. But it's the freshness that makes it makes it beautiful.
And finally, after many years my spider wave plant is blooming. I was waiting to see it happen but it stopped flowering for almost three years. I own this plant for more than five years now. Hopefully, this will stay with me for many years.
One thing I have noticed after coming back home is that most of the flowering plant is not flowering anymore. I'm not sure what's the reason.
This big plant, it's called 'Madhobilota', it's the end season of it. So I understand the reason. But other flower plants like Pentas and Jasmine, don't have many flowers in them. Probably it's because of the underwatering or I don't know.
But they are alive, that's what matters most.
The moss rose is also not flowering at all, which is one of the easiest ones to grow. I'm very confused about what's happening.
I lost these two. Both of them were indoor plants and probably lack of humidity made them lifeless. I've no intention to buy them again in recent times rather I would like to focus on other plants.
My other indoor plants are doing well.
About the flowering issue, I think I need to tell you a story. After my father's death, one of his planted mango trees stopped producing. It used to produce hundreds of mango every year so just after his death, it was quite noticeable to all of us.
My mom says, there's a connection; there's something we don't know and yes, we know very little.
I'm not saying this is what happened to my plants as well. But this experience reminded me of that incident.
Hopefully, I will be able to take care of my balcony garden from now on and the plants will be thriving.
Have a good day, everyone.
