As we all have beautiful winter garden here in North India for four months. Without petunia flowers, any winter garden is incomplete. Half of my petunia plants are already dead due to extreme heat and very low levels of humidity.
This petunia plant was the last to germinate from seeds and it matured very lately. Now it is giving beautiful blooms while others are struggling to survive. So I thought of saving this year's last blooms in my photography.
These plants spread very fast and covers the whole pot with its blooms in winter fully. However during summers, the blooms are not many but still I am satisfied because temperature is not very favorable to them.
Now let us see some more last winter blooms of kalanchoe and one hybrid rose. At this 43°C temperature, they are still blooming and it's a great wonder.
Kalanchoe are succulents and their blooms stay on the plant for more than one month after they bloom.
They have to be protected by the direct sunlight during summers otherwise they will be dead. This plant can be saved in summer and again during winter, it will bloom heavily. We can multiply it by taking cuttings during the rainy season.
