Spring is coming and flowers and trees are starting to bloom. Today, after a rainy weekend the sky is blue and the sun is shining. I decided to get to the garden and take a few shots. The almond tree is especially pretty as all the flowers are out.
You can see them all over the grass next to the tree, adding their white/pink color over the green of the grass.
Getting closer to the leaves you can see the little almonds starting to grow. They are still small and soft as the strong skin will still take a while to appear.
If you sit there for a while, you can see how pigeons stop by the tree every once in a while, picking the little almonds as they are fresh. They are not ripe, and the birds do not eat them, they try to get the water from the inside as we are having a very dry season which is lasting too long. It is incredible how birds are so savvy to learn the conditions and react to their needs
In another area of the garden, I stumbled upon mint leaves getting out of one small rock hole, as a way to reach the sun and get all they need to grow.
