My steps in planting corn include preparing the land for sunlight. Then, I choose a superior corn variety suited to my soil and climate. I plant the seeds in holes about 3 to 5 cm deep, with rows 70 to 90 cm apart. I water the corn regularly as needed and fertilize it at the right time. Harvest time is about 3 to 4 months, determined by the hard kernels, the dry black hairs at the tips of the kernels, and the husks starting to fade.
Here are my steps.
There are several ways to cultivate corn.
-Previously, I prepared myself with enthusiasm so that everything would go well, using superior seeds for a bountiful harvest. I prepared vacant land that received full sunlight and had fertile soil.
-Till the soil by plowing or hoeing to loosen it and then prepare the soil. After that, I selected high-quality corn seeds according to the desired story, or planted corn. This was planted during the rainy season so that all the corn seeds would survive. I did this when the soil was sufficiently tilled, then I made rows with a distance of 70 cm between rows of corn plants. I made holes approximately 3 cm deep in the seeds and planted one or two seeds, then covered the seed holes with water.
-I fertilized when the corn had leaves for 3 weeks by sprinkling fertilizer around the plants and watering them. If any seeds didn't sprout, I repeated the process by planting new seeds. If the corn grew too densely, I attacked it, and this was the time to remove any weeds or wild grass growing around the plants.
Pest and disease control: Routine editorial monitoring of pests and diseases such as caterpillars, leafhoppers, and corn borers is currently my top priority during the corn growing season, as this is crucial for a good future harvest.
I'm sharing some pictures, as you can see.
In this picture, you can also see several papaya trees. These papayas were previously underperforming, so I destroyed them because none of them produced superior results. I didn't destroy them, but left them alone.
With this contest, I ask for your blessing and prayers from all my friends on this blog, Sarang, so I can achieve a good corn harvest in the future.
At that time, I had more seeds than I remembered, so I planted them instead of storing them and letting them go to waste.
I planted them in the garden path, taking two rows on the right and two rows on the left to avoid obstructing the path of passersby. This area is also close to the air storage pond, as seen in the planting picture.
I have done this corn planting stage several times and this includes extensive planting, I worked on more than half a hectare of land, this is already a tight period for me and I have to use people to weed because I can't do it. I have done this for two days because I was too busy to have a friend help with the wages tomorrow.
