Hello everyone,
We are participating in the Garden Journal Challenge with our last produce of the summer season from our small garden.
We have a teeny tiny plot of a vegetable garden in a little corner of our backyard which we usually plant with tomatoes, (because they’re the easiest to grow with very little care).
It’s a sunny spot which seems to be very conducive to their growth. Makes them happy campers. We’ve had a few seasons with these plants but it looks like this year will be their last.
Elsewhere in this little plot, we also scattered some green peppers; here they are with their fruits in varied shapes and colors, not quite as healthy-looking as they should be.
We also have a homemade planter box, which we sowed with seeds of cilantro and Swiss chard. However, only the Swiss chards seem to have thrived.
Here’s a self-watering planter also a product of a DIY project which we planted with ginger. It’s still a work in progress
And lastly, let me show you our compost bin, where dumped grass cuttings and food waste get covered to good organic feed for garden soil.
So this little garden will likely hibernate for the fall and winter seasons. Hopefully will wake up in spring and come alive and thriving again in summer. Fingers crossed 🤞.
Thank you for reading.
