We are now half way through flowering, and major changes are taking place inside the plants. They are putting all their energy into the buds, and we can see a fade taking place on the biggest of the four. This is normal, as the buds grow the leaves at the bottom start to die. And just the buds and its sugar leaves stay fully alive. This way the plant can put all its energy into the buds.

Three of the four have made it through both layers of netting. Using this netting helps me control the buds when they get top heavy. And also makes for a good way to build a canopy with the topped plants.
We can see above the back right corner plant has the yellowing happening. Probably all of the others will follow soon and be the same way.
Its already occurring, just a little slower in the smaller plants. Its been fun seeing all the green leaves through this grow, but now they are focusing on bud production.
So we probably have another 30 days or so to go with this grow. Then I will be checking the buds with a microscope to verify when they are fully ripe and ready for harvest.
Hopefully the other three will catch up, and still wonder why that one grew so much more than the rest. They all get the same amount of light, water and nutrients.
The buds are already looking real nice, probably going to get much bigger between now and harvest time in about a month. Cannot wait to another guess the weight contest for this grow. I have yet to reach over a pound from one grow, but maybe this will be the one.
Major smells are coming off the buds now, when the lights come on I can smell it from across the house. And when I work in the tent and touch the buds they are very sticky. I am excited to see how the buds turn out. Should be good.
Still hoping to see them turn purple, with tent temperatures getting into the low 60s it should be possible. Though this tends to happen later in the flowering process. Maybe we will see signs of it in another week or two if they end up turning purple.
The color is changed due to the plants chemistry changing, this also changes the flavor and may also change the effects of the buds. I personally like purple weed, so it would be great if it did. Then I will have some "Purple Genius Juice".. lol
