It has been about a month since I planted these weed plants outside. And they have grown quite a bit, now we are experiencing a heat wave. I hope the best for them to get through it, and so far so good. I have been checking on them every day to make sure they are getting enough water. And luckily the rains have been pretty steady but not too much.
I was hoping to start four plant of the same strain, but I found the seeds to be mostly duds. So I had to start some backup seeds, now I have a mix of all kinds of strains growing here.. Maybe three or four kinds.. lol
Compared to how they looked a month ago, they are whole new plants. They went into the ground in May, and had a couple cool mornings in the 40s. But now the summer is ramping up and should be quite warm from here on out until the fall in October.
Some are bigger than others, also slightly different color.
The one above is the tallest of the bunch. I think it may be Durban Poison. That is one of them I started.. May be wrong though. But I do remember my previous outdoor grow having Durban Poison in them and growing to be quite big. Then we got a tropical storm and the flooding nearly killed my plants, so I hope for better luck this year from the weather.
I have been pulling grass when the blades start to touch the cannabis. But otherwise I leave the weeds there. Maybe I will just add more mulch soon. That usually deals with the weeds well.
Happy looking leaves, glad they are doing well outside. I guess the photo strains will veg out for another few months before they start flowering.
Next to the plants I have wild flowers growing. Good to see them still coming up. I sowed wild flower seeds in the ground a few years back and I keep seeing them return.
The autoflower plant is now flowering, and its tiny. Its basically a bonsai cannabis plant. Not sure why it stayed so short. When I checked out the pictures of the strain, it was just a normal sized plant. And when I had it in the grow tent it got lots of light and was quite happy. So no idea why it has stayed so short.. It cannot be more than 1.5 feet tall right now. lol
It pretty much hugs the ground, but I do see flowers forming. So maybe it will stretch soon. Maybe its just in its genetics to stay short and wide.
We can see all four in this picture but it may be hard to make out. As they get taller they will be more noticeable. But for now they are only a couple feet tall at most. Most of these seeds are photos. So I expect them to get as tall as me by seasons end if not taller.
