Seems like since I repotted many of these plants they are really waking up and putting on lots of growth. The pots the plants were shipped in were very small and seemed the plants already grew to their full size in them by the time the plants were shipped to me. The marjoram plant has shot off many new stems and we have started cooking with it. But that is not the most vigorous of the plants here.. It would be the Clematis vine.
When I received these vining plants they were dormant, but with the warm room temps and much light they are waking up. And quickly growing bigger than where I had them while dormant. Some other plants are not doing as much such as the rose plants, but the clematis and marjoram seem to be the kings of the grow room.
I would find them the next day touching the grow lights or trying to grow up the shelving. So it was time to move them somewhere else.. I have to keep them inside but there are a few spots that would be fine for that.
We can see they started to wrap around the light cables, so I had to remove them and put them elsewhere. I had to be careful to take them off not to damage the lights or the vines themselves.
Everything but the pine seedlings are doing great. I have new seeds about to be ready to start, so its all good.
Bringing the clematis vines to a sunny window I set up a string for them to climb. I hope they will like their new setup.
They quickly notice it and start climbing up the paracord I attached to the blinds. Its some really thin cord but glad to see they were able to wrap around it without much issue.
Probably wont get as much light as the grow room, but at least they can stretch out and climb up the string.
I hope they will be okay for a few months until its warm enough to plant them outside.
They seem happy with their new spot though, so we shall see how it plays out.
I tied the string to the blinds above, and it seems like it will hold well enough. I guess they will climb all the way up and then drop down as they run out of string.. Not sure how fast that will happen.. probably pretty fast..lol
Already seeing them wrap around the string, that is a good sign. I also see flowers forming, hopefully they open up and do well inside for the moment.
So time will tell how well they do here, but at least they have more space now. Seems the new pot really gave them a boost in growth, so hopefully I can keep up with them until they go outside. Once planted in the ground outdoors they should be able to establish themselves and come back every year.
